Welcome to GameForge - Amiga!
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of GameForge - Amiga, a revolutionary no-code game development IDE for Amiga platforms (OCS/ECS/AGA) that compiles directly to native Amiga executables using AmiBlitz 3.
What is GameForge - Amiga?
GameForge - Amiga is designed to transform Amiga game development from tedious coding to a visual, intuitive experience. Whether you’re a designer who wants to create games without learning to code, or a developer who wants to prototype faster, GameForge provides the tools you need.
Key Features (Planned):
- Visual Sprite Editor: Create and edit sprites with pixel-perfect precision
- Level Editor: Design tilemaps and game worlds visually with drag-and-drop
- No-Code Game Logic: Mix of node-based and form-based visual scripting
- Direct Amiga Compilation: Compiles to native Amiga executables using AmiBlitz 3
- Multi-Platform Support: OCS, ECS, and AGA Amiga platforms
- The Sprite Alchemist - Retro Integration: Import sprites directly from TSA Retro
Why Amiga?
The Amiga community is vibrant and passionate, but game development has always required deep technical knowledge. GameForge - Amiga bridges the gap between modern development workflows and classic Amiga hardware, making game creation accessible to everyone.

We’re planning a phased development approach:
- Phase 1 - Sprite Editor MVP (Q1 2026)
- Phase 2 - Level Editor (Q1-Q2 2026)
- Phase 3 - Visual Game Logic (Q2 2026)
- Phase 4 - AmiBlitz 3 Integration (Q2-Q3 2026)
- Phase 5 - Polish & Launch (Q3 2026)
Visual Identity
We’ve created a stunning visual identity for GameForge - Amiga, featuring:
- 10 unique logos (with Logo 5 as the primary choice)
- 10 splash screens that randomly display on boot
- 10 “GF” badge icons for various UI elements
All featuring retro-futuristic aesthetics, circuit board patterns, and synthwave-inspired designs that capture the essence of the Amiga era.
What’s Next?
We’re currently in the early planning and research phase. Our next steps include:
- Deep dive into AmiBlitz 3 compiler API and integration
- Design the visual scripting system architecture
- Prototype the sprite editor interface
- Research Amiga sprite and tilemap formats
